Tim Patrick (b.1988) is an artist based in London, working and exhibiting from his studio in Camberwell.
Having studied traditional portrait painting in Florence, Italy, Tim has subsequently attended the University of Brighton where he received first class Hons, and most recently the Royal Drawing School in London.
“Being a painter, I am fascinated how the representation of the visual world can reinvent and reinterpret a subject. Memory and reality are the two principal interests of mine, and the dual realities of seeing, and experiencing.”
Taking his subjects from the stuff of the everyday, Tim’s work looks at the tension between the physical and spiritual in the places and situations encountered in the contemporary world. A frequent tutor at Draw in Brighton, Tim works as a freelance arts educator also, and takes various commissions for portraiture.
His work was recently featured in the 2018 Threadneedle Prize and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters exhibition at the Mall Galleries.
